Walid Hanna
Walid S. Hanna, founder of Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), has over 20 years of experience in venture capital and new venture development. He has launched 5 VC funds, invested in 60+ tech companies, and grown MEVP's AUM to $300M.
Previously, Walid served as CEO of Dubai International Capital's venture arm, the Arab Business Angels Network (ABAN), which managed a regional seed fund and pioneered the first Business Angels network in the Arab World. Throughout his career, Walid has co-founded, invested in, and successfully exited several MENA startups. He currently serves on the boards of various regional tech companies, including NASDAQ-listed Anghami. In 2017, Emaar founder Mohamed Alabbar acquired a non-controlling stake in MEVP, further strengthening the firm's position in the market.
A Web3 enthusiast, Walid holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from McGill University and a Master's in Finance from H.E.C Paris. Beyond his professional achievements, Walid is deeply committed to his family, focusing on the well-being of his daughter and two sons.
